Bio

James is a civil trial attorney specializing in large, complex commercial litigation, with an emphasis on trials and appeals. He represents companies and individuals across diverse industries in complex commercial, torts, and personal injury lawsuits. He has successfully litigated cases in State, Federal and Tribal courts throughout the United States, and he has recovered millions of dollars for his clients.

James is a co-founding member of Lorenzo, Ekker, Dallner, LLC. Before starting his own firm, James was a partner in a national law firm. He was recognized as a Colorado Super Lawyer Rising Star from 2013-2019. This peer designation is awarded only to the top 2.5% of attorneys in the state. James was the managing editor of the Montana Law Review, and after graduating law school, James spent a year as a law clerk for Hon. Sandra I. Rothenberg with the Colorado Court of Appeals.

James is licensed in Colorado, Montana, Nevada, North Dakota and Wyoming and is admitted in the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, Ninth Circuit, and Tenth Circuit, as well as the United State District Court for the Districts of Colorado, Nevada, North Dakota, and Wyoming.
