Bio

Scott T. Seabolt is the founder of the Seabolt Law Firm. Mr. Seabolt has extensive experience conducting all aspects of complex business litigation, including pre-litigation investigations, early case assessment, injunctive proceedings, written and electronic discovery, depositions, expert discovery, summary judgment, trials and appeals. An experienced trial attorney, Mr. Seabolt has tried dozens of cases before judges, juries and arbitration panels.

Based in Michigan, Mr. Seabolt has represented clients in courts across the country, including Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, New York, Ohio and Wisconsin. He has extensive experience handling international disputes for and against companies from a variety of jurisdictions, including Argentina, Canada, China, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, Qatar, South Korea, Sweden and Thailand. He has represented clients before the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and the Michigan Court of Appeals. He has represented clients in a variety of arbitration forums, including the American Arbitration Association, the Center for Public Resources, the International Centre for Dispute Resolution, and the Singapore International Arbitration Centre. Mr. Seabolt has represented clients in SEC investigations and enforcement matters and before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). He also has led internal investigations for corporate clients, including multiple international investigations.

Mr. Seabolt is a Detroit native. He received his B.A. (1993) in mathematics and economics from the University of Michigan. He received his J.D. (1996) from Cornell Law School, where he was a Moot Court champion and a member of the Moot Court Board.

In 1996, after graduating from Cornell Law School, Mr. Seabolt joined Dickinson Wright PLLC as an associate in the litigation department. In 2001, Mr. Seabolt joined Foley & Lardner LLP, where he became a partner in the litigation department in 2005. Mr. Seabolt founded the Seabolt Law Firm in 2016.
