Bio

Mr. Bennett’s practice is concentrated in the areas of general civil and commercial litigation. Mr. Bennett’s primary areas of practice includes representing employers in all aspects of employment and labor relations law and employer counseling, construction contract and lien disputes, business litigation, government relations, land use and zoning. In his practice, Mr. Bennett represents a wide variety of businesses, such as auto dealers, banking, health care, retail, manufacturing, food services, computer/information technology, construction, non-profit, telecommunications, energy, service industry, and transportation/logistics, as well as governmental entities. Mr. Bennett has represented businesses and individuals before numerous state and federal trial courts, Courts of Appeals, and before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Mr. Bennett is a member of the Litigation/Labor & Employment Group of Meritas Law Firms Worldwide. He is also a member of the Tennessee and Memphis Bar Associations’ Labor and Employment Law sections, having served on the Board of Directors of the Memphis Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law section. Mr. Bennett has served on the American Bar Association’s (ABA) State Labor and Employment Law Developments Subcommittee and the ABA’s Forum on the Construction Industry. He is also a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM). He has served for a number of years on the Board of Directors and as the General Counsel for the Associated Builders and Contractors of West Tennessee (ABC) and was the Chairman of the Board of ABC in 2017.
